Welcome to Clip-Point Hire Ltd. By accessing our website, making a booking, or hiring a vehicle from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

"Operator" refers to Clip-Point Hire Ltd (Company No. 17408203) registered in England and Wales.

"Hirer" / "Driver" refers to the individual making the booking and/or named as the driver on the hire agreement.

"Vehicle" refers to any drift car or track vehicle provided by the Operator.

"Event" / "Track Day" refers to the scheduled track day or circuit rental session.

2. Booking, Payment & Cancellations

Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your date and package.

Cancellations by the Hirer:

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event date are eligible for a full refund or free date transfer.

Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior receive a 50% refund or free date transfer.

Cancellations made less than 7 days prior are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cancellations by the Operator / Circuit: In the rare event that an event is canceled by the circuit operator (e.g., severe extreme weather), you will be offered a free transfer to a rescheduled date or a full refund.

3. Driver Requirements & Eligibility

License Requirements: The Hirer must present a valid, full UK driver’s license (or valid international equivalent) on the morning of the event.

Competency Requirement: By completing a booking, the customer warrants that all named drivers possess sufficient mechanical sympathy, car handling proficiency, and physical capability to safely operate the hired vehicle in a high-performance track environment.

Financial Liability: Inexperience, lack of track familiarity, or driver error shall not exempt the hirer from full financial liability for vehicle damage, mechanical abuse, or third-party collision costs as defined in our Fair Damage Policy.

Right of Revocation: Clip Point Hire reserves the absolute right to suspend or permanently cease a driver's access to the vehicle at any point during an event if the driver exhibits dangerous driving, lack of basic vehicle control, or non-compliance with track safety standards. In such circumstances, the hire agreement shall be deemed terminated for breach, and no refunds or credits will be provided.

Physical & Mental Fitness: Drivers must zero-tolerance abstain from alcohol or illegal drugs before and during the event. The Operator reserves the right to terminate hire immediately without refund if drug or alcohol impairment is suspected.

Safety Gear: Drivers and passengers must wear an approved motorsport helmet at all times while on track, in car clothing is subject to individual track rules. Please check with your chosen track.

4. Security Deposit & Financial Damage Liability

Pre-Authorization Hold: A £800 pre-authorization security deposit hold will be placed on the Hirer’s payment card 24 hours prior to the event.

Vehicle Damage: The Hirer is financially liable for any physical, cosmetic, structural, or mechanical damage caused to the vehicle due to driver error, collisions, spins, or track excursions.

Standard Cover: Maximum out-of-pocket vehicle liability is capped at £2,500.00.

Damage Liability Reduction (DLR): If the optional £35.00 DLR fee is selected prior to driving, vehicle crash liability is capped at £300.00.

Circuit Property Damage: Any charges raised by circuit operators for infrastructure damage (e.g., Armco barriers, tire walls, or oil cleanups) caused by the Hirer remain 100% the Hirer's financial responsibility and are separate from vehicle damage caps.

5. Mechanical Issues & Wear and Tear

Covered Maintenance: Wear and tear on consumables (tyre, clutch, brakes) during normal track usage is fully covered by the Operator.

Mechanical Failure & Vehicle Availability Policy: In the event of an engine, drivetrain, or structural failure arising from standard operational wear and tear (and explicitly excluding failure caused by driver error, collision, or mechanical abuse), Clip Point Hire will make all reasonable efforts to provide an equivalent replacement vehicle subject to circuit availability. If no replacement vehicle is available, Clip Point Hire will calculate the track time lost and offer the hirer either a pro-rata credit toward a future event or a pro-rata refund corresponding to the unused portion of their booked session. Clip Point Hire shall not be held liable for any consequential losses, including third-party venue admission fees or travel expenses.

6. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, logos, package titles, images, and branding—is the property of Clip Point Hire Ltd. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
